MOLD RFC are one of the leading clubs in North Wales producing young, talented individuals. In the last 3 years former Mold players have made a significant impact at a International level. Rob McCusker (Scarlets and Wales Sevens), Haydn Pugh (Neath and Wales U20s), James King (Aberavon, Ospreys and Wales U20s) and Rhys Williams (Warrington Wolves and Wales RL) are all products of the club. We are now seeking an enthusiastic and committed head coach for the Season 2010/11 and beyond. Job Description

To attend twice weekly training sessions (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) and lead the senior squad (1st and 2nd team).

 

To devise drills, exercises and the like and to deliver them (supported by assistant coaches) to the senior squad.

 

To lead, and liaise with the Club Captain, 2nd Team Manager and Youth Team Coaches on selection issues.

 

To attend once monthly Playing Committee meetings

 

To attend Saturday fixtures (and occasional midweek games) as required, and analyse / review / and report to the 1st team.

 

The Post holder will be responsible for all playing matters associated with the first team, and will report to the Chair of the Playing Committee. 1st and 2nd team managers, the Fixture Secretary and others will deal with all administrative matters and match day logistics.

 

The post is not salaried, but reasonable travel expenses will be repaid, the club will provide a mobile phone for the purpose of club business, and the club will support the coaches progression through the WRU Coaching Award Scheme (to an envisaged maximum of Level 3).
